Bengaluru, India 31 May to 4 June 2015
In 2015, the Union held its 75th Annual General Meeting in Bengaluru at the kind invitation of the General Insurance Corporation of India (GIC Re), the National Insurance Company, the New India Assurance Company, the Oriental Insurance Company, and the United India Insurance Company. The AGM took place from 31 May to 4 June 2015 at the ITC Gardenia Hotel.
This was the Union’s first visit to India, and Bengaluru was chosen as it is sometimes referred to as the "Silicon Valley of India", being home to many Indian IT/Technology organisations including, from the aerospace standpoint the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), and Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), both of which provided speakers during our visit.
